Last night, 25 students in the HMS STEM program held an evening demonstration of their learning at the middle school. These STEM Hornets were led by Mr. Muckerheide in their completion of several project-based hands on learning activities. Each activity in the HMS STEM program helps students develop a deeper understanding of the Engineering and Design process as well as how to collaborate with each other. Included in the demonstrations were individual challenges such as how to build a structure out of spaghetti to support a golf ball. Parents as well students competed against themselves to see if they could complete the challenge. This was a fun event for all and a great way to see our young Hornets in action.
Nicely done and Kuddos again to Mr. Muckerheide and Mr. Lehner for supporting this event!
One snow day will be made up after today. Yeah! Happy Friday everyone!
