The fourth annual Hockinson History Day was a hit last week with more than 120 seventh- and eighth-grade students showcasing projects for their families, community and staff. The 2017 theme is “Taking a Stand in History.”
The students produced websites, documentaries, papers, performances, and individual and group exhibits on topics ranging from Rachel Carson’s stand against DDT to China’s one child policy.
A panel of volunteer judges selected 22 groups and individuals plus three alternates to participate in regional competition March 4 against other southwest Washington schools.
HMS thanks everyone who volunteered to judge, and congratulates the regional qualifiers!
