District to put Hazard Plan in Place

Hockinson School District is planning for the unexpected—and would like to hear from you!

In an effort to make the district less vulnerable to natural disasters, we have compiled a Hazard Mitigation Plan that considers possible threats to the district and how to prepare for and recover from them. Hockinson is among 28 school districts statewide piloting this grant-supported planning program.

Please check out the draft Hazard Mitigation Plan online, and send your comments, suggestions, corrections and additions by Nov. 12 to:

Hockinson School District
Attention: Superintendent

                       Michelle.Scott@hocksd.org, business manager

Next steps:

  •  Nov. 14: The School Board will review the plan, consider submitted comments and hear any additional public comments.
