Hockinson School District is planning for the unexpected—and would like to hear from you!
In an effort to make the district less vulnerable to natural disasters, we have compiled a Hazard Mitigation Plan that considers possible threats to the district and how to prepare for and recover from them. Hockinson is among 28 school districts statewide piloting this grant-supported planning program.
Please check out the draft Hazard Mitigation Plan online, and send your comments, suggestions, corrections and additions by Nov. 12 to:

• Nov. 14: The School Board will review the plan, consider submitted comments and hear any additional public comments.
• FEMA—the Federal Emergency Management Agency—will review the plan.
• Once FEMA approves the Plan, the School Board will adopt it.
• The district will review and update the Plan periodically.
