Battle of the Books

Battle of the Books

What is Battle of the Books?

A Jeopardy-like team competition. Final round held at all-school assembly with top 6th grade team -vs- top 7th -vs- top 8th -vs- Staff team!

An optional fun and social literacy activity! Great prizes for kids.

Kids create their own teams.  Each team reads at least 3 books of their choice from the list. It encourages reading discussion amongst friends, based on books of shared interest!

Last year, almost 60% of 6th graders participated!  Great turnout for all grades, and kids loved battling teachers!
