THE HOCKINSON COMMUNITY CANNED FOOD DRIVE

“HAWKS HELP HUNGER” EVERY CAN COUNTS!

Every November Hockinson High School hosts a canned food drive.  This year the high school is reaching out to the entire community to participate and make this years drive a district wide event.  We want it to be AMAZING, but we need your help!

 

WE ARE ASKING FOR HIGH PROTEIN, QUALITY CANNED FOODS AND BOXED ITEMS: peanut butter, tuna, soups, cake and bread mixes, pasta, beans, rice, etc.

 

DONATIONS   

Dates:  November:  9, 10, 12, 13, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20

Times:  Outside - 10:00 am - 12:00 pm     Inside - 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Location: HHS main entrance (place items in Color War color coded boxes)

 

WHERE DO MY DONATIONS GO?

Donations will be distributed among our Hockinson community and local surrounding communities

 

COLOR WAR POINTS ARE AT STAKE!

POINTS ARE EARNED FOR EACH CLASS BUT THE CLASS WITH THE MOST  ITEMS COLLECTED WILL  EARN A FEW MORE POINTS TO GO TOWARDS COLOR WAR.

WHAT IS COLOR WAR?   

A TRADITION AT HHS THAT IS ONE OF THE FAVORITES FOR STUDENTS.  WE HAVE FRIENDLY COMPETITIONS AND GAMES BETWEEN THE CLASSES. IT TYPICALLY IS HELD IN  MARCH, BUT WE HAD TO CANCEL IN 2020. WE HOPE TO BRING IT BACK IN 2021.

 

EVEN IF YOUR STUDENT IS NOT IN HIGH SCHOOL YOU CAN STILL DONATE TOWARDS THEIR FUTURE CLASS COLOR OR THE COLOR OF YOUR CHOICE.  MORE  IMPORTANTLY…..OUR COMMUNITY MEMBERS WILL BENEFIT FROM YOUR DONATIONS.
