In the article, "From student to school nurse," Burkhardt speaks to the full-circle nature of learning as well as the "Hockinson Factor" saying, "I had really amazing teachers here growing up that made impacts on me to always strive to learn and do something that is going to make you happy in life and make you feel fulfilled." She added: "And I feel like I really got my foundation here from that, from those teachers that helped me love learning."
